My brother has 15 cm tumor in his liver (over half the size of his liver). Some of the cancer has spread to outside the liver to his lymph nodes. Now, his spleen is swollen causing his blood platelet counts to be reduced. The doctor recommends he has to remove the spleen so his platelet count can increase so he can start chemo.
